Dr. Mira Thapa: The Best Fertility Specialist in Nepal

Dr. Mira Thapa is a Senior Gynecologist and Specialist in Advanced Infertility and Endoscopic Surgeries. A medical graduate of the College of Medical Science (CMSTH), Dr. Thapa went on to complete her postgraduate graduation in Gynecology (Gyne) and Obstetrics (Obs) at TUTH, followed by a sub-specialty fellowship in Advanced Infertility and Endoscopic Surgeries at the Grant Medical Foundation Ruby Hall Clinic IVF and Endoscopy Centre in Pune, India. Dr. Thapa has obtained further academic qualifications, including a Fellowship in Cosmetic Gynecology from the American Board of Cosmetic Gynecology (ABCG) in Dubai in 2021. She is currently fulfilling her duties as Director of the Angel Fertility Clinic.

Her career as a doctor started as a Medical Officer at the College of Medical Science, Chitawan, in 2004. She then served as a Senior Medical Officer at Himal Hospital in Kathmandu, followed by being a registrar at the Civil Service Hospital in 2012. She has been working as a Consultant Gynecologist at Sumeru Hospital ever since. Dr. Thapa has also been associated with Vayodha Hospital and SumeruCity Hospital since 2012.

Dr. Thapa is extremely passionate about continuing education and learning about new advances in her field. She is a regular delegate at local, national, and international scientific conferences and has chaired many of them. These academic commitments allow Dr. Thapa to be at the leading edge of the latest research, which she applies to her clinical practice. Impressively, she has authored recent studies on the comparative study of IVF/ICSI outcome between patients with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and Bilateral Tubal Blockage. She is currently involved as a member of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), the Nepal Society of Obstetrician and Gynecologist (NESOG), the Fertility Society of Nepal (FESON), the Indian Fertility Society (IFS), and many more. She is also the current treasurer for FESON.

Dr. Thapa co-founded NIFLC Maya IVF in 2013 and Angel Fertility Clinic in 2020 to provide patients with quality infertility treatment. She uses her contemporary, evidence-based knowledge, clinical experience, and common sense to allow her patients to explore options. She sees this as essential to creating a care plan that they understand, are happy with, and that addresses their unique set of needs.
